My chosen artist is pixie Lott the genre of her music is pop and R&B. Pixie's target audience is young female teenagers however her secondary viewers would be young males this is because she is an attractive and iconic lady. Pixie is singed to mercury which is a subsidiary of universal music group one of the leading major labels. Because she is signed to a major record label pixie's star persona is affected as she would not have full control over what she wants to do. major labels have one motive and that is to make as much money as they can when signing on an artist they will advertise and promote them is the best ways possible to make as much money however if an artist was to not reach a target set it would result to the artist being dropped.
